I'm not sure whether to add my two cents here or not. I've only managed to get halfway through the posts in this forum and there seems to be a lot of back and forth on this subject. I guess what I am wondering is what is the point of a Starbase if it's not a Base? To me, for the most part, setting up a starbase that wasn't constructed over a resource seemed rather pointless (unless I did it to enhance a trade route). On the other hand,

I previously posted elsewhere that I hadn't even thought about a name for my star; but that was a couple weeks ago and time changes things. So, I've had plenty of time to think about it and the name I came up with is "Pulsar SKf-17". Now, I don't know exactly what the plans are regarding star systems. So, I don't know if they'll actually have Pulsars and such; but I guess (in one way or another) mine will be one (at least to me). Th
Looks like it's time for me to get back up to speed. Name a star... hmmm, I still have my profile photo to work on; let alone naming a star. Then again, getting the photo right is a bit more complicated than coming up with a name. We'll see. SK
