They seem to obtain everything at max., I hardly could take their planet 'cauze they had about 30 soldiering instead of my 7....I've never seen ships of them I don't want to...

Summering the reactions of all of you, I learned that some say the Iconains are weak other say they are tough, idem with the Yors etc….Ok, it’s pretty sure nothing is predefined, every time you launch a new game everything turns out to be different, I like that. What I experienced is that races’ strength is also strongly influenced by the level you are playing. F.ex. on tough the Dregins are easier to be taken out than on painful, just in comparison of how every opponent is claiming his power i
One thing is sure: you don’t have a pirated serial, because you could use the serial once and played already. It can be that the serial is already registered to another account (check if your registration email is still the same) and this has to be solved then by stardock support indeed. The message which tells you to buy the game is just automatic, I don’t believe these guys are $ hungry sharks… I forgot, but it looks like there are 2 different numbers. That's awfull....when I think I wanted yesterday to get the Metaverse too. I don't understand: if you have the right serial number, which worked before, why can't it be then activated by Stardock online? You should be able to reinstall the game through the download manager "Stardock Central" as many times as you want...
Yeah, the poor Iconians are usually taken out quickly, that’s why I often avoid putting them in the game. Otherwise it is better to increase manually their performance (DA) and thereafter the game takes immediately a different aspect. Guys, one thing is certain: the more difficult level you play the more performance bonuses races will have. In other words the AI is “cheating” by granting 150 and 200% economics performance and so on. This game has a great AI but human intelligence stil
I never played on a gigantic map, I'am afraid starving in pijama for about 30 days by doing so...What I mostly liked in Tom's diary is the idea of making your people happy with let's say less taxes and this is what I'll try next to find out about the benefits. Shouldn't over populate the planets, that's true, but a high moral generates cash as well. PS: SimCity4 fan too: less taxes for the rich, so let them come in your city...
I heard Torian skin tastes good....(no, I am joking guys..)
Indeed, while you play evil at the very beginning you should avoid beeing weak on military because otherwise you are attacked like hell, but the some bonuses from the beginning should let you come more easy forward I guess...ok, because I used to play good and man I had much worries, I decided like Iceciro said to go neutral, at least no one is hating you that much, but no big love neither . During the
I usually play as a "good" race (mostly customs) try on advanced levels, but it's really hard. The guys who really rock are mainly Dregin and Yor, then come the Arceans and the only good strong ones left are the Altarian, but the foxy Altarian lady (in DA) has a bad temper and it's difficult to get close or even make an alliance... What I want to say is that I think as a good race you have a tougher job and you simply can't keep under control the Dregin and the Yor in the same time. What happens
I experiences similar slow down issues, especially when the maps gets pretty filled, what I did is simply upgrading the memory on my laptop from 512 to 1512 MB. Then I got surprised, the game became very very fast even with the option "allow AI to use max CPU", no waitings and beside that I even could run in the same time other applications (internet, antivirus etc....). I recommend everyone who doesn't own a latest hardware to upgrade the RAM!

I understand where you want to get, but the thing is you cannot research plasma without having first got the latest laser 3. You can't jump from laser 1 directly to plasma...
Playin' painful/crippling (never could go further) it's substantial to permanently fight on different fronts with several races in the same time and once you negociated expenssively peace and try to take a breath there is suddenly a new war upon you from a different race. The key is: don't stop keeping your military power high and work on your diplomacy. I must admit in Dark Avatar it takes a bunch more skills to win... The difficulty I face in DA is how to balance income and spending, I mea
Indeed it makes sense increasing difficulty during game play, because after a while you come to a point when you know you will get it, of course on a certain difficulty level... Challenges like this will keep you vigilant
that's right, i try not breaking it, but how to deal with the situation when your ambassador kills by mistake lord Vega and then go in war? as happened last time . I think if you let time pass and do trade with them and give some little fancy gifts, then possibly you can remake the alliance in v 1.2, i don't know, it could be interesting to retry. For further versions it would be interesting to have more d
We are ready to pick it up for shure and it looks like it would be very soon. The 1.2 was released not that long ago and its nice having the game updated, let's give those guys some little time, they might also see their families . V 1.3 will have some new AI inprovements, don't know what exactly, but i't cool having new and smarter AI features. Aditional difficult levels are not for me, i'am pla
yes, i also think it's about being "close", i'll try again, thanks
I wanted to make an alliance with the altarians in order to slow down a little the excited dregin neighbours, 2 against them is better. I had to exchange techs with altarians to be sure they own alliances tech, but even then I simply couldn't make this alliance, as if they would never had this tech. It happened to me before with another race. I don’t know, has the relations to be warm or close before bein
