between last night and today I have seen more ai players then live players. I just tried another pantheon game at 12:30 est and got all ai bots. If I am going to play a single player game I want a storyline.

I have been trying to keep track of both forums general discussions for official posts on the servers. Dev and forum mods should sticky official posts about the state of the game. Most of the responses seem to be made players giving second hand info from dev posts. All the lag issues I had earlier today were gone tonight so I figured the matchmaking was fixed as well.
Right now I am hoping that this multiplayer experience is still hiccups of bad servers. I have yet to get a single nonbot teammate and my bot teammates continue to feed the live players on the other team. The only time I can play with live people is if I go into custom games. I did not pay for a semi multi player game and hope that this is either bad servers or is being worked on because right now I would rather go back to dota.
Can anyone confirm what game version is the current one? I just uninstalled and reinstalled and I am still at 1.00.0091.
well I am still unable to update. Is this a problem on my side or yours? The version I am currently running is 1.00.0091 and I believe the latest build is 1.00.0097.
by had do you mean you eventually got the update or that the problem was fixed?
So I just tried to log into demigod and it told me a update is available I clicked ok and it logged me out with no up date. I am not sure if this is the same issue as multiplayer so I figured I would post about it.
Yeah I can't count the times I tried to move around the map with the minimap today.
Minions can actually put out decent damage with a good item build as well as going down the right trees. I have had a few very dominating games with oak. I also believe each general gets there own unique summon unit and those can get pretty beefy as well.
Disreguard this post. I figured out I had a older version of impulse that was not updating and couldn't uninstall. Once I deleted it and reinstalled the latest version it updated fine.
So I just called my local gamestop and they are selling Demigod so I plan on canceling this order and going to pick up the game.
I for one agree with the original poster. I would rather see 3 or 4 original fantasy races then 12 human races and the decision to go with all human would influence me to stay away from the game. If you wanted to stay away from the stereotypical "fantasy" races like orcs, elves and dwarves I am sure the people of this community could help with that. I am very disappointed to find out there will not be any true fantasy races to play.
I wouldn't call getting new content a open beta. Beta is the testing a game for bugs, glitches, errors and what not. I have called some of the games I have bought open beta but let me assure you it wasn't meant as a compliment. Games that give away free content are pretty unheard of now. So this patch is a big kudos to the dev team here at stardock. I remember waiting for unit and map patches for T.A. back and this was a lot like that.
The only legit complaint I am seeing is the people that can't get impulse to work. Yeah impulse is a bit slow but really who cares. The game patched fast and it didn't require me to stay logged onto impulse in order to play. I was originally against impulse as well but honestly I just look at it like a fancy patcher. I only turn it on to check if my games need updates.
Maybe I am just stuck in the old way I played the thalan race but it is really hard for me to change the way I like to play them after 100's of games as the old them.
I have not talent when it comes to modding but I am sure I am not the only one that feels this way about the thalans. As for them being a front runner in your games what difficulty are you playing because I think as you go up in difficulty so does there social, military and research percentage which will naturally ease the handicap the player thalan has.
I have dabbled in trying to do that but in reality it isn't the same. It is funny that I bought the expansion but still find myself playing dark avatar.
I really had high hopes for this expansion but for me I really think they tried to hard to make it different. I have a love affair with the thalan race and I really feel they are getting the short end of the stick. I am not sure how different the other races play compared to there former selves but this is not the race I use to play. I have a super ability that is only half useful (super hive gets to build factories faster....wait we don't get factories until later in the game)
So I have been playing GC2 TOA now fow about 5-6 days and mostly been playing the thalan empire. I first tried them on the easy setting to just give them a test drive. It took me more then a few games to figure them out and I really feel they are under powered. The first thing I want to talk about is there "super ability". The super hive Starts out with a significant range bonus and factories are produced faster. The race doesn't get factories until much later
Just to make sure I am not doing anything wrong here. Does the thalan empire not have some basic buildings like factories and economic buildings anymore?
