And I forgot to say, It's nice to take out a no weapons resource/economy starbase with this method too.

Over the several games I've played, I find that my troop transports zip by undefended star bases and troop transports. However, I can never blow them up. So, I started arming my troop transports with the most basic weapon possible (this is especially easy late game or with a robust economy/tech). When transports are running around with 15+ movement, I can zip in, kill 5000 undefended troops, and zip out, and very rarely do I have to divert my combat vessels (who move slower due to lots of weapon
I noticed this too, and I'm not sure if it's coincidence or not that the race i previously was became the galactic dominator over the other AI's. Since i think it alters them, I'll select the one I was, clear it, save it, then delete the "custom" version of it. That brings it back to its original settings.
It's probably totally random. I've seen it like 5 times, and it's destroyed useless PQ 0's. But Isothewise might be the unlucky one who just happened to have the numbers stack against him.
I was playing a game where I had both economic and research treaties with the Altarians, who were dominating the game at this point. Their military owned mine, and they decided to declare war on me. Now, I am aware that if I were to declare war on a race I had treaties with, I receive the "- They don't trust you" Penalty. However, when THEY broke the treaties by attacking ME, I still received the same penalties for all races. This isn't a huuuge deal, but I get annoyed when I get blamed for thin
ahhh sweet. good call. thanks
I played and won a game on Challenging, and the pie wheel that shows wins by difficulty gave me credit for the Challenging win. I just won on Tough, posted the game to the Metaverse, and I didn't receive credit for a Tough win. Does it take time to update this, or is there something else at work here?
Awesome. Thank you
yes. how do i get them to show up?
nope. hmm...
Let's see if my little icons show up.
I have one quick and fairly simple change. When customizing your galaxy, you can choose the frequency of stars, planets, etc. There should be a bar that decides frequency of galactic resources, the economy, military, morale ones you build star bases on. That would really add yet another level of customization to an already awesome game.
Thanks for the help I've always been curious about what Luck does. I figured it had a hand in finding precursor ships etc, but does it do anything else?
Great info. I'm learning a ton from you veterans. I'm semi newb. I have a question: With custom race, what are the best abilities/technologies to start with? Are there any that are a given, or are they totally based on the galaxy size and AI difficulty?
