Kind of reminds me of Lego ships... Still looks interesting though! Nice work.
Undecided
'Cause it looks cooler. Any time you're ever tempted to ask a question about system requirements, that's your answer. For this or any game. I can understand your point, however when my framerate frequently drops to 0 FPS, I get annoyed. Also when it becomes difficult to scroll when zoomed in on multiple ships I get annoyed.
Nvidia GeForce FX 5500 There's your problem. That's not a problem. It's called fiscal responsibility!
"C:\Program Files\Stardock\TotalGaming\GalCiv2\GC2Launch.exe" -Original "C:\Program Files\Stardock\TotalGaming\GalCiv2\GalCiv2.exe" cheat -cheat version You have to change the target to GalCiv2.exe instead of GC2Launch.exe
I personally am not offended if a questionnaire doesn't have “other” as an option. The intention of this poll was most likely to ascertain the ratio of male and female GalCiv2 players. The whole argument of “not everyone is male or female” is true, however considering that this was a poll simply being for collecting information about the audience of this product, it seems wholly unnecessary. You don't even have to respond to this poll if you so desire. While this argument may have a r
All ships with at least one defensive component in the starbases influence will get the bonus. Its worthwile to research part of the defensive tech tree to get a small defensive module and then cram it on all combat ships.
Hmmmm... AMD Sempron 3000+ 1.99ghz processor 512mb RAM Nvidia GeForce FX 5500 The explosions still give me problems (v1.11). Funny thing is the game ran smoother with v1.0 . I get a noticable freeze in the game of about one to two seconds. Its annoying, however ships dispearing into thin air (or space) is annoying as well. The explosions also makes full fleet battle
I will celebrate any increase in performance!

Create a new shortcut, it should be along the lines of: C:\Program Files\Stardock\TotalGaming\GalCiv2\GalCiv2.exe" cheat open a game with the new shortcut Ctrl + M Adds 10,000bc Ctrl + B Adds battleship Ctrl + L Assigns remaining planets to major races Ctrl + C Clones selected ship Ctrl + J Completes social projects Ctrl + 0-9 (NOT on num pad) Hail's major races Ctrl + H Heals selected ship Ctrl + R Research current tech
Sounds interesting... Could you put it in my "What would you pay good money for in an expansion?" thread?
Considering the amount of shouting the gaming community needs to do in order to get a patch released, Stardock is providing amazing support!
-Map editor -Have only a certain percentage of the population fight in defense of their planet (this could get rid of the problem of stuffing 1 billion people and their combat equipment into a cargo ship) having grannies charging into battle seems a little strange... -More race specific dialougue
Hmmmmmm, someone has been playing Dr. Frankenthread. Anyway I have only built one SCC, however I am thinking about using more since I moved up to "intelligent" opponents.
Coldkilla you forgot the Omega Research center!
Yes I can cope too, however the point of this post was to fix the problem and not just work around it.
I think population also applies, however I am not entirely sure. I can say that heavily populated planets do seem to generate more revenue though.
Odd that two troop transports can have the same capacity as planet Earth currently ~6bn. They must be really big spaceships. They must have put billions into researching how to stack people in the most effecient manner possible.
Wow apparently nobody minds this...
Leave my NLC's alone! I think the game is balanced well enough and skewing the formula could make things significantly less fun.
Well this is certainly a hot topic! Go ahead and mention things that have already been requested in previous posts (it just shows that many people want that feature). Anyway I would like: 1. AI improvements (its so close to being godly that Stardock shouldn't stop now!) 2. More meaningful and involving espionage. Right now a slider just seems under-whelming. Have random intelligence breaks, defections from enemies, sabotage, more tech thievery, and make it so civs can
Essentially make a list of things in an expansion pack that would make you want to pay Stardock money (put "would be nice" things in a separate list) Edit: Yay!!! The forum will let me edit my posts now! Anyway my thanks to whoever stickied this. Feel free to post whatever you desire in future expansion packs, even if it has already been suggested (that shows that many people want said feature). Also don't feel compelled to browse through the previous pages
I second the "everyone does it!" remark. It just doesn't seem to matter who it is, they all mismanage. I do however have a suspicion that some races do it more often than others (the Arceans for example).
I find it annoying how I have to delete my old ships designs from my last game. So I came up with this idea: have an option when saving a ship to make it usable in your current game only. If it could be tied in with the save file then it could be deleted when you were done with the game. It just seems like a logistical nightmare to keep track of all my ships (and naming ships M 3imIII 2BephII Gar 2aS FAS gets tiring after a while...)
Check out the neat plantary defense techs! The planetary improvements are complely worthless though, any civ is better off getting the first strike while in space. The premise is that if suddenly an enemy battle fleet zooms into orbit it takes a while to get the defensive ships into positions, hence a logistical nightmare is created.
