Hah kingefly, every time I go evil I get squashed early on. with Nuetral or good I usally am quietly ignored till I am ready to start cutting throats. and with TirQuan training when I get invaded when I just send in the granny brigade and they mop up the bad guys. Thank goodness Invasion techs are so cheap. Duh

arnotol... Now lets not start talking about Frignautes, the benifts of center warp over right and left and why LDR kicks ass and the person who ran them was a nincompoop which is why they have a crappy history nor why the klingons should of made a B-10 Mauler. But I would like to see a Mauler device in Gal Civ, whats not to love about a cosmic shotgun. Duh

Urainium. Selfishness is the bases of evil. Your choice of keeping your dog over the girl is evil because it makes your comfort and pleasure over some one weaker than you. Either that or you belong to Peta too and that too is evil. Duh

Every name has some intials in parathesis. that makes the designs come before the crappy standard desings. (Civ) for all colony and contructor, miner survey (MILF) light fighters (MIHF) Heavy fighters (MICR) Medium hulls (MIBC) Large hulls (MIDN) Huge hulls (MIT) unarmed transports (MITA) armed transports And then make up a name for each version. Honshu really hit the nail on the head. Whats good about coexisting with something that thinks 5yo suzy is a snack. kill them all. Lets be honest its only the crazies that support peta. Come on if you have a dog that tore up a little kid for whatever reason. You put the animal down. Animals are not people. As far as the economy hit. Thats just stupid. The designers think that the snake trade takes 5% of the economy. Thats foolish. And as far as evil... My dog bit a neighbor girl I h

Well late game am having a lot of luck with the good alignment. My fleet is none existant and I been surrendered too by the Thalans and the Yor and now I have the second largest empire. I am not sure if one alignment is better than the other they just require different game play. Duh

Heh, medium and small? in late game on key planets I use Huge. Other wise as an Isolationist I leave most my planets undefended. I keep my space ships in space where they can interdict the buy eyed alien scum. If I have eyes then I dont use Tattler Cargo hulls (2 engines, basic support and lots and lots of sensors). I make sure I get Tir Quan and all the land military techs so if one gets through that the granny brigade can have a fun turkey shoot. The only thing I cant defend against is s

Odd on the trade going down when you reach 20k bc +. But then again I usally have at least 7 econ starbases lining the trade routes and my trade goes up over time. Never more than 2000bc per turn it seams oh well but since I play for the long haul every bit helps. As far as constructors there key to my game play. I have to have them to make the econ starbases that puts me in #1 of industrail might and quick ship builds. But what works for me might not work for you it seems.

Only one time have I had the +700% and a +300% mine on one planet it was a class 30 too. I won that game. Current game I got a Class 7 planet with one +700% mine and a +700% libary on the same planet. Yah know I think I would of just liked the mine there and not the libary. Whats really werid is that I have mega events on and nothing has happened. No pirates, no peacefleet, no spys, no nutthing. I expect soon I will have a game on turn one Jagged knife will pop up and take my home

Um werid guys, is this in the new "cough" features of TA. In DA I am always running between 50k and 100k BC in my treasury about the time in get Disruptors (yeah I know missles weapons are "cheaper" but I like the bright lights beams make plus all my crews are scared of the dark). I wonder if your popluction is happy if your Taxes will go up. I try to keep mine as close to 100% as possible. Also it should be one of scale. The larger your empire the more taxes (assuming the same tax

Starstrike1 if you make it unmanned then it has to be programmed. And that programming has to be maintained by some type of link. If it is being maintained by some type of link on the planet it can be eavesdropped from space. It can also be hacked and that would be a bad thing in my humble opion. Duh

Ok lets think on this Star striker1. In much of Sci fi they are automated. That means someone has to physically travel there. Its expensive or should be getting out of the gravity well of a planet. Since this game does not use transporters that is not an option. You have to maintain a ground crew and a maintance crew and a flight crew to get there (same as a large ship). Now my WAG is about 50% of the mainatance will need EVA. That is expensive both in training for the man or machine and

Well, in some games I usally use a Huge or large class vessel for my monitor class. no engines or life support. 1/3 for weapons and 2/3 for defenses. Then just have it squat ontop of key worlds. but they are expensive because of the hull and weapons. No matter how you slice it orbiting weapons platform should be expensive think of the maintainance of them or the nano bots that would be expesive in deleopment and the communication array to keep them in control. if you dont control control

Well what were talking about is stratigic office and tatical defense. so number of your star bases dont matter because you only have one or two. Ohtori there are a couple of ship assists that only appear after battle station one is bought IIRC. Yes it works real well. Even one time built a road of mil star bases. It worked pretty good up until that never sufficently be damned speed limit showed up. Duh

a little of both. people equal money. the more people the more money. usally I have a few plus 20pq planets on those I have 2 or more farms and 5 moral centers (yeah I use them to keep my moral up still it sucks getting thrown out of office) and at least 4 econ buildings and alwasy upgrade all of them when possible. First upgrade is to the econ then moral then farms. Duh

Sometimes when the game is tough and I am being picked on by the big nasty. I build up a fleet of say 20+ constructors and find the system that the big bug eyed monster empier thats a key mfg or research system. Add two fleets of warships and alot of transports and do a end run. When i arrive at said system I build the military star base. take out all other starbases that are evil and must die (i.e. not mine) and take over the planets. Then comes the sweat time of forlorn hope waiting for m

Well, for me when I play Isolationist I go for production bonus and research then go nuetral. Keep the fleet small with the speed limit of three you can afford to have one or two fleets of ships. Dont destoy a minor race in your cluster. Make them your only trading partner and line the route with Econ star bases (espically if alot of your planets are within there area of effect). I love my class 14 planets with the precusure mine and 5 econ star bases giving the plus 120% to production heck
