Good luck getting Ubisoft to stop using Starforce. Seems like all their PC games use Starforce. Why oh why doesn't anyone follow the Stardock model? It's a win-win situation. We get lots of updates and ease of use, and Stardock gets a lot of people buying the game because of all the updates (and the game's pretty good to).
i've only found precursor corvettes (small fighter i think) and ranger.
this is totally off topic, but wouldn't a enigine structure thing be nice? i hate how my tiny fighters always look lopsided cause they only have 1 engine :/ an yes, i think it would be too complicated. i'm happy with the ship design the way it is. and yo ucan't really have a super fast, super pwoerful ship. more engines=less weapons. and you'd probably only be able to do that with medium+ships (small and tiny ships are too small to have much
when you installed the game they gave you a place to enter your serial (CD, not collcector's edition). when you start the game (using your desktop icon), there should be a button that says "Update Serial" you can also enter your cd-key there. You can also try updating through the downlaod link on this websie as well.
yeah, i'm trying to keep my morale high (at least 85%), so i usually end up never researching farm techs and not having any farms on my plents unless they're economic.
Is there any point to keep your morale/approval at 90% rather than say, 70%? is there any kind of bonus for that?
Does anyone else think the AI overvalues weapon techs? Eg: they refuse to trade Stinger III for MAss Driver II. that's just stupid no? unless it's different when you enter an alliance or something (i can't find the alliance button even though i have the tech! )

actually, i think intelligent is the final non-cheating level. unless you count knowing all known human tactics and countering each one of them cheating
Could people submit all the precursor events they've seen? i'd like to see a list of all the overpowered, game changing events. So far, i've read about/seen -All planets within 2 sectors become class 13. -Find a REALLY strong ship (the ship had ~40 mass driver, ~20 armor, ~60 hp while my strongest ship had 6 mass driver, 0 armor, 20 hp, )
you really should make your own ship a the core ships have no engines. good luck catchig somethign to kill
kinda. browse around on teh forums and you should find a way to get hot-seat using teh cheat mode. but no online mp or anything.
what exactly are the collector's edition download? i'd like to be able to envy the lucky who preordered the game
i would say no. i'd buy a x700 http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/SearchTools/search.asp?keywords=x700&image1.x=0&image1.y=0 that's a page with a couple of x700's.$20 more expensive, but a better card. i'd go for the x700 as it won't go obsolete as quickly.
