An objective discussion about opinion? That's what you want?

Probably just storyline/setting decision. Maybe they wanted to imply that Gauss Cannons come from Autocannons. No other reason, I would think. It is Sci-Fi, after all. Probably just a design decision.
Marketing? Not too familiar with Stardock, are you. I've not seen ad one regarding this game. I'm sure they are out there, but definately not on the level of an EA game. As to your assertion... It's a good game. Why does it bother you that people like it? If people want to gush about it, why does that bother you? Do you believe they are lying? People expressing their opinion are allowed to gush. Just as you are allowed to not gush. And don't for
Also, if you have the super weapons...well, then pirates fall down even faster, if not outright die like they do when you hit them with the TEC Super Gauss Wave Motion Blaster Cannon of Doom.
Frankly, I'm of both minds. I would love to know what and how the storyline introduced in this game proceeds. Granted, I don't have to have Ironclad tell me because I can create the story myself by playing a multi-system game (and I soon will) with multiple opponents...but still, I am curious what storyline would be. I don't think it needs a scenario based storyline. It would be nice if they could introduce storyline events into the game...like the Antaran raids in MoO2, the Gai
I'm reminded of the Zero Punctuation remark about "those dirty Console playing peasants" and the "glorious PC gaming master race," except nicer. Heh.
According to the Closed Captioning (which I have on all the time), Brad said "Except you don't pay 15 dollars a month" or something to that effect. This was in response to Morgan's comment of "So, this game will destroy your social life." A subtle comment on Muhmorpagers, I guess...
Nicely done. Seems that Morgan liked it. Plus, it was nice to be able to put a face to the name (Brad's, I mean).
It does appear to start once, then periodically happen for that same session. It does get worse and worse. I've gotten into the habit of just saving, quiting, reloading and going forward. Due to the annoyance of reloads, I don't like it...but am willing to do it. Well, is there anything I can do to delay/prevent this? I've heard about the "heightmaps", but have NO idea what those are. I never DL'd them...would they help? What do they do? Also, I have a LOT of VM, as you
Okay, I'm getting an odd issue. After playing a while in DA (this didn't happen in DL), I get white screens on the invasion screen. Also, sometimes my combat viewer (both Long and Normal Battles) will glitch black. This didn't happen this time, but the white screens did. Here's my debug.err. Hope it helps. I would like to add my voice to the group of people reporting this bug/glitch or whatever it is. I guess I don't mind being able to walk all over the Drengin in the campaign games...but, it is kinda odd.
