The title says it all. This ranks up there with my favorite strategy games of all time. Right up there with Classics like Genghis Kahn, Romance of The Three Kingdoms before they made a million sequals of that game. I have never played civ. 4 but I liked the first and second ones but the third was was less then great. Gal. Civ. is only going to get better also after all the tweaks and what not.

Some minor problems. Screen sometimes turns yellow or white except for words on pushable buttons. Game still seems operateble though just can't see anything( during looking at main map zoomed out) . Just recently a got a pop up in the middle of the game saying that the application was going to close itself in an unusual way, and then the game did just that. Reply to Race balance - things to consider when you pick who to play as in Galactic Civilizations II Stardock Forums

Im sure there there isn't that much of an advantage of being one race or the other, of course this matters how you play. But in general the races seem pretty even. But seeing some races get this and that and others don't makes me wonder why the dev. did it this way. I mean looking at the Terrance alliance you see they get less techs then the others? Is this because of there diplomancy skill is that good and it makes up for those lack of techs?

Im pretty sure you roll on defense. The thing nobody has pointed out is defense takes less time to research which is important. so the more balanced player would would have more stats on his ship. so it wouldn't be 4a 4d vs. 8a 0d. it would more then likely be 4a 6d vs. 8a 0d.

I heard that had edge scrolling but turned it off due to edge scrolling when clicking end game. I use the drag method and it only takes about 3 or 4 drags to get to the other side of the map on gigantic. far less time then the scrolling method unless you have the scrolling method really sensitive wich then makes it harder to control.

It did have a positive flow. With some criticizing here and there. My review on his review: This reviewer has lots of potential. He writes about the were the games most prominant part (The AI) in nice detail, but he seems to leave out key feautures that I don't recall him talking about watching, such as the ability to watch your ships in combat, and he should probably be lentched(spl) for not mentioning the great metavarse.
