As an old timer i must admit to never playing any of the HoMM range, however i have liked what i have seen on the web and i am looking to purchase one of the games to try for myself. To that end i am asking the members of these forums which version i should purchase? Is number one still far better than five? I need your advise as i have no idea myself. Many thanks. I was one of the people who doubted Impulse whenit was first released but since then i have been converted and now like the program. I wont say its my favorite program i know of but it is useful enough (not that we are given any other choice for updates) to warrant installation on my pc. This new update that is planned will go even further towards making the program lighter and easier to use. My only moan at present with the program is that it does feel bloated and takes far too long

All updates have the odd bug or ten but i have not found any of them to hamper my gameplay so i would suggest updating to the latest version as soon as possible. Go for 2.0! [e digicons][/e]
What do you mean by "no save?" As in the functionality to save a specific governor out for later use isn't in or when you save your game the governor list isn't retained when you load it back up?
I think he means the ability to save a governor for use in a different game. Currently you have to set up each governor each game which is not as useful as a save option where you could just load a previously saved version. Having to set the

Ok to further simplify this you need to go in to the following to find the starbase files: - C:\Program Files\Stardock Games\GalCiv2\DarkAvatar\Data\ShipCfg All the starbase designs were changed for DA so TA calls for them from there. You should be able to put your new ones into the TA folder though or even the folder in my docs, as long as you remember that you would need to put them into the folder \Data\ShipCfg, which you would need to create for this. <

If you have the Impulse platform you can find a list of changes if you click the 'changes' link on the RHS of the window. I guess a full list will be forthcoming but it usually takes a couple of days for the devs to post it here. From the Impulse platform: - Galactic Civilizations II: Twilight of the Arnor ___________________________________ Version 2.00 ---------------- + NEW: Ship design screen availa
