[quote quoting="post"] What should I do? I'm a master level chess player and I day trade as a hobby and so according to my code of ethics, I CAN'T not min/max. I've tried to change the AI to Synthetics on Godlike and I make two AI to work together and be on the same team. Nothing works. The AI is too dumb. What should be done? Lot's of Blah, blah, blah, "I'm a god"(but you aren't) but no evidence at ALL. I'm not calling you a liar, but I don't believe you. Edit: To be clear, referring to OP not Frogboy.
It's lunch and I decided to read on the forums. Good post. I was disappointed to see Frogboy "check out" the other day. Hopefully, the rest of the SD team will let him know about this thread. Like Frogboy, I own and run a software development company. We have about 30 employees but we focus on business software. I wish I had decided to write game software in my youth instead of just playing them and doing business software. While we get to do some cool things (Genetic Algori
For number 2, I always have my colony ship stop next to the planet, then let the IDLE SHIP take me to it. I can then double check the planet information as well as re-assess if I still want that colony ship to take the planet or perhaps move on to another one that is higher quality but more recently discovered. I would then allow one of my follow on colony ships to take the planet. But yes, it would be nice to see that information on the ideology choice screen.

Perhaps it was me that mentioned it in the dev stream. In a game called "Birth of the Federation", you would start out with just Earth (assuming you start as the Federation for my example). As you explored the Galaxy, you would run into all the other races from the ST universe. Most of them as Minors, with the obvious Majors, as well as some uninhabited worlds. Think original series when both the Federation and Klingons were trying to add Organia to their s
I'm not getting a blank screen but I do have invasion screen freezes. Most of the UI seems to dim and then nothing. Took a screen shot of it with Task Manager going. As you can see CPU is going hard. This is after three or four minutes of waiting. It only happens to me on the SECOND invasion after loading a save game. First invasion, successful or not, works fine. This seemed to be very reproducible. Finally, Though I had researched Information War, it did not show up as an in
