Microsoft has confirmed that the Marvel Universe Online MMORPG has been discontinued by all parties involved. The project was originally announced by Microsoft and Marvel in mid-2006 and was being developed by Cryptic Studios for Xbox 360 and Windows Vista. Rumors swirled throughout 2007 about the project's cancellation but it wasn't until this year's DICE Summit that the news was finally confirmed. Microsoft Game Studios head Shane Kim told Gamespot that the project is dead.
