Kryo, I'm having the same problem as shabbit is. The shipyard is fine, but the ships don't actually exist in the map view. Worse, I just checked combat out, and the neither the ship nor the fire from the ship appeared there, either. Gotta hit the sack now, but hopefully you can pin this down, because it's an excellent idea.

I love the idea of sensor jammers! It could be a whole new line of research. In order to not be projecting grey soup into enemy territory from a safe area, it should not stack, but you can research more effective ones (As opposed to the typical smaller iterations of ship parts.) through, well, research. Then you could have a really cool sensor/anti-sensor thing

I usually befriend them, because I really like them for some reason. Except the Snathi. But I always make friends of the Carinoids and Akilians or whatever the devil it is they're called. Plus, you can usually milk them for cash with a few nice pieces of tech, or build a super-powerful line of ships and hand them over to help the minor civ fight a war you want to support, but don't want/can't get involved in directly.

Look at the games above it, too; Star Wars, Lord of the Rings, Elder Scrolls, and Unreal. Two of those are massive, planet-wide franchises covering many media, and the other two are more limited but still immensely respected and anticipiated in gaming circles. Nothing to be upset about not being above.

Pretty nice ad, certainly more original than most, and correctly highlighting the ship design feature as a central one. Kudos also on not including the scores from various reviews - that often looks like desperation, not good support. As commented the 'Designer: YOU' might perhaps benefit from a slight change in scales, because I had to look twice to see it properly, which didn't pull me into the idea the ad is showing more, it just made it look slight

I personally wish anomalies would respawn randomly aroung the galaxy, because there usually gone after a while, and any ships with survey moduals are completely usless I'm pretty sure they do respawn, actually. I'm sure I've swept the galaxy clean, only to turn around thirty turns later and see a co

Wait. I'm unfamiliar with this concept. A gaming company which promptly and actively updates, patches, and listens to player input? I'm feeling faint... (And I'm feeling that marketing needs a punch.) To you guys!

Random events ARE awesome, but that's a vast area to cover, as neat as it is. Perhaps it could be scaled, based on X parsecs per map size? Actually, I was thinking, it might be nice to be able to disable/enable random events, because sometimes you just don't want something to happen. Specifically I'm thinking of... dang, what's it called? Ultradrive or something? The thing which increases your movement? I hate that one, because I love the whole "Space

Weird thing happened yesterday. It was me vs Drengin, and there was a minor race sitting around (I think it was the Carinoids.) caught up in the crossfire. Well, I had a significant tech lead over the Drengin, but my economy wasn't doing very well (It was negative, in fact.), so I built a hugely powerful ship, one which could handle itself against pretty much anything they had, and traded it to the minor race. Now, they did make use of it, but at first

I thought I first got this gun not when I researched Singularity Drive IV, but when I researched both that and Xeno Ethics, and chose good. Apparently I was mistaken. xD But yeah, a single fleet of those on Huge hulls won me the wars, cost or no cost.

Katamari Damacy aptly shows how powerful word-of-mouth can be, I think. Of course, the fact that the game is incredible helps, I'm sure Anyway, congrats on the sales figures, this game more than deserves it! Here's to a ton more, because both you AND gamers deserve it.

Yeah, I've usually had quite a bit of time to get rolling in games, so there hasn't been an immediate rush for anything other than colony ships. Anyways, first thing I go for is Stellar Cartography, meanwhile I get some colony ships together, and once I see some promising-looking systems I'll send them off in the relevant directions. If the map is larger I'll usually head for a life support tech or two, so I can get ships further out sooner. Then I swi

1) Not in any manner that I know of, but you CAN buy votes from them (And minor races.) in the standard diplomacy screen. Buy enough and you can swing the thing. This is one thing I'd really like to see changed, actually. 2) You have to be 'close' with the desired aliens, I believe, before alliances become a possibility. 3) I don't know if there's a way to see directly, but the text descriptions are usually quite accurate. That's an awesome site. Also, the Nostromo was much smaller than I thought it was. Really shows how vast the Agamemnon was (I had no idea it was larger than a Star Destroyer.) And I still absolutely love the design of the Minbari Sharlin ships. And finally, GO GODZILLA! He might be 1/15 the size of some things there, but he's the most powerful of them all!

"heh, most addictive feature ever. It's funny how much more attached you get to your ships too, rdally enhances the overall experience in the game. A lot more than the designer did in Alpa Centauri too. The ability to custom configure the gfx as opposed to just plopping down modules on stock hulls is great, really makes a big difference." I couldn't agree more! I've already got stories to tell about ships - my ships. It adds so much o

The planet is overpopulated, unfortunately. Aside from lowering taxes and building things to make your people happier, I only know of one way to reduce overpopulation - build colony ships and remove people from the planet. Of course, if you're in a full galaxy, then you'll have to either keep the ships in space or simply blow them up, killing billions.

I've seen similar things happening - I ended up with a stated 100% bonus to Military Production and Social Production. I restarted the game and it seemed fine; fool me for not finding out if it really does give you that, or if it's merely an error in terms of what it tells you! x_X

Changing the ability costs, as Spectrum Knight suggests, does seem to work (I've not checked it extensively, but the couple of things I did change seemed fine.). I can find no way of changing the starting bonus values for races (Eg the Drengin get a 100% ship HP bonus), so I'll presume I'm missing something. Political parties work ok, but I overloaded one for messing around purposes and the game asploded repeatedly when I got to the customise race scre
