Vista sidebar always crashes when I insert or remove items from the USB ports, and is generally buggy. Is there a way to replace Vista sidebar altogether with something like DesktopX (or any other ObjectDesktop product) that would be able to replicate the Vista sidebar's functionality? Thanks!

I would like this too. In fact, why not just update Stardock Central to only list Vista compatible applications if it is running on a Vista system? That way we always know exactly what we can use for Vista and don't accidentally install XP only programs. Thanks.

Thanks for your response. Unfortunately, one of my system utilities (I think System Mechanic), updated my system to be more "safe". One of the things it changed is that when I try to "run" a .vbs file, it instead opens it in notepad. Anyone have suggestions on how to undo this? Thanks in advance!
Hi, I've got the latest Objectbar 2 running on XP Home and I've added a "Various-Function Item", with the command "Popup Real Start Menu". But when I click on the command in the objectbar menu, the Start Menu barely pops up for a flash then disappears again. If I hit the Windows Key however, the Start Menu pops up and stays popped up. Thanks for any assistance in advance.
I've been having this problem with setting the Icon Font Size for years with WindowBlinds. Now that I use 1920x1200 resolution I simply can't use Windowblinds anymore since it resets the Icon Font Size to 8 point size on reboot. Is there any solution to this problem? Thanks in advance...
I have a suggestion. Make specific windows semi-transparent no matter what other objects/forms cover them. Example: While you're waiting on a form to finish an action, you can see it's progress as a semi-transparent window in the background of whatever you're working on.
Suggestion for DesktopX objects: It would be very useful to have objects appear semi-transparently no matter what other objects/windows covered them. An example would be a clock that would appear as a silhouette in the background of all objects covering it, making the time always visible.
