Well first off I just want to say thank you for continuing to work on this game and improve it. There are a lot of game publishers / developers out there who don't even put out two patches, let alone rework the game after release. Speaking as a strategy game novice, one of the things that would be nice for Elemental is for some form of guidance in the form of feedback. For example, a setting that can be enabled or disenabled depending on player preferance, t

Congrats on on the arrival of your new baby BoogieBac :-) and thank you for the article on Elemental. Whilst I don't post much on the forums, I do read them, and I've been a Stardock fan since the Gal Civ 1 days, so I have every faith that Stardock will continue to improve Elemental as time goes by. Hope your reorientation goes smoothly.

Don't know if that's a coincidence or if doing so sent it out to find if there were any betas available. regardless, it's here it's here it's here!!
Nope must be a coincidence because I did what you wrote and

If we take the "If it can be duplicated without negligible cost, there should be no scarcity and everyone should get a free copy" point of view, and let's assume that everybody on the planet does because that's the freetard utopian dream, suddenly nobody's buying a copy. Hurray!<

The arguments are there and you ignoring them simply shows your shallowness.
In fact db0 I did read your arguments. I consider them to be a load of rationalising, self-justifying bull-manure. Claiming that piracy is not stealing doesn't make you any less of a thief if you do it. That it

Alright, I'll take the other side: If I did pirate the game, who did I hurt? It didn't harm anyone any more than breathing the air that they hypothetically could need would. In fact, it did so little harm it would be nearly impossible to prove that I had don

Please read the last 5 pages of arguments on exactly that point before you jump to reply
Keep telling yourself that buddy. Whatever makes you feel good enough to look yourself in the mirror. Piracy is stealing. You are taking the product without paying for it, that's thieft. Rationalise it all you like, it doens't change that fact.
Congrats if it's not a big deal for you, but not everyone has a decent living situation and wants to waste money on a game that might not work.
So by your rationalisation people should just steal products because they are unsure of wiether or not they're worth that money? That's just plain wrong to put it bluntly. Read reviews about the game, if you're unsure wait for a demo, but don't steal it. You can't

Personally I think it depends on how the new person phrases their post. It's one thing to make a polite comment stating that they are having issues. It's another thing to make a post that is little more than an abusive rant at the developers and publishers.

Hi All, I just subscribed to Object Desktop Ultimate, and personally I think it's great. I've spent quite a bit of time customising my desktop and I've almost got everything exactly the way I want it - for now ;). My only problem is with the Weather Docklet on the Object Dock. The problem seems to be with timezone confusion. When I zoom over for the extended forcast the Weather Docklet currently displays the following. </

Yep you still need to build that capital ship factory :) What I do (and hey even though I played in the beta I'm still a new player *smiles*) is build up my infrastructure, develop metal and crystal extractors save up for a capital ship factory, create 5-7 frigates and start to explore. I'll try adding 2 civic stations to my build list and see how the trade outposts work :). Sins is a fun game, but there's a heck of a lot to learn to play it properly. Not that thats a bad thing :)

Well I don't want to make this thread go off topic by debating the virtues or lack there of of Vista, but I do have to say that this is the first and only problem I've had with the OS since I picked it up when it was released. Every application and game I've run has worked great, even those that other's have said they've had problems with under Vista. Anyway I'll continue to test Sins under the new Nvidia drivers and report back any problems I encounter.
