Tried to uninstall and reinstall once more and this time it worked. Evidently the uninstalling process leaves tons of traces of the program all over the HD and in the registry. Getting rid of each last bit and then reinstalling did the trick. In case any others run into this just make sure you delete all folders with Objectdock in them (do a search to find them all) and then use Regedit to remove the registry entries (again search using Objectdock to find them) and you'll be able to reinstall

I've been using Objectdock Plus with my Vista64 machine for a few months now and 2 days ago ran into a problem that I can't fix. All of a sudden when I brought my computer out of sleep mode a window popped up when OD+ started saying the "Dll/Hook failed to load. (cbt) Please reinstall and reboot. I've done so several times now and get the same message each time it starts. The docks show up and won't work at all. Please help me to fix this problem. Thanks!

This is something I'm also interested in. I don't know why Stardock doesn't allow a reinstalling over an existing install to try and correct errors as many times this will work but we are forced to completely uninstall and then reinstall. Wish there was a "fix install" option. Sometimes the best route is to wipe clean and start over but I'd like to be able to try a fix first and ifg that fails then reinstall fresh. Okay, sorry, rant over. :)

I've had this happen to one of my computers, Vista Ultimate64 where out of the blue I can no longer drag and drop icons onto the dock. I haven't bothered to uninstall and reinstall yet as I have pretty much everything the way I like it now but find it a strange occurance. Hopefully we'll get a new version soon!

I just figured out why the weather docklet works on one of my Vista64 machines and not the other. I had found on some other web site (sorry, can't remember where...) people talking about this same exact thing and someone posted the file "stardockweather.ocx" that made it work without issues. I replaced that file, saving the original, and it worked for me. So I just copied it over to may other macine that is now having this issue and problem seems to be solved! So I would suggest trying

Figurehead, thanks for your replies here and in the other thread. Seems like more hassle than it's worth just to get a stupid weather docklet to work... Like you, I don't understand why we can't see the betas, even when enabled, in Impulse. Seems like someone has dropped the ball on this one. Hopefully 2.0 will be released relatively soon though. thanks again for the replies.

Figurehead, where do you actually see the betas? I've tried enabling them to be seen but I don't see any so I'm thinking I'm looking in the wrong place. Do I have to uninstall objectdock plus first in order to see the betas? Thanks for your help.
Open Impulse, click on the blue orb in the upper left corner (after validation is complete), select "allow Beta versions", and you should see an OD+1.9 beta from OCT 08, which works very good with Vista x64. No issues at all, yet.
Do you need to uninstall Objectdock Plus first in order to see the beta versions? On one of my machines running Vista64 Ultimate I don't seem to have any issues but on the other one, and just in the

The trial version was uninstalled before the installation of the Plus version. I haven't emailed Stardock yet but finally figured it out on my own. It was my Firewall blocking things. Due to my reinstallation, I had a couple of entries of the OD+ and when I tried giving it all the permissions possible and it still failed it was due to me using the initial entry and not the latest working entry... a bit of a pain but all is now well. Thanks for the replies!

Thought I'd post this here too in case I can get some help sooner. Original post: I just bought OD+ after using the trial version for a couple of days. I liked its' potnetial and went for the paid version. During install it asked to uninstall the trial version and it did. Once up I adjusted the bottom dock to my liking and created a new one for the right side. I go into standby for the night and then this morning most of the icons will not function and give me a a cannont find
