Server temporarily down while moving files

Ok, it's moved over. Testing now.

If you'd like feedback: I just bought and started downloading the game, and it's coming down over the DSL we have here a bit at least slightly faster than it was before you did the switch. (And little "being down" part of the switch certainly was mysterious until I thought to read the forum.)

Anyhow, I've been reading about this thing with great interest for months, and can hardly wait to try it.

I am now downloading the multimedia and it looks like the speed is about doubled - from about one quarter my dial-up's capability to about a half. And I don't know if everyone else has noticed it is up and is again trying to download.

Brad, it's downloading over here aswell but yeah it's still somewhat slow.

yea, it's still pointing at the old files. We've moved the fiels over, now we have to tell the server to tell you to get the files from the new server.

I'm not directly involved with the Drengin CM so I'm not very familiar with how it works. I'm workin with Pat (aka T-man aka lead IT developer at Stardock) to get it to point to the other server.

It's probably best to hold off another 30 minutes or so while we get the server to point to the high speed download server.

BTW, the reason it felt any faster was because everyone got kicked off. It'll get very slow on the old server in a hurry. Everyone reading this is best off holding off until you see another message from one of us.

BTW, if you're currently downloading from the old server (i.e. it's taking forever) exit out of Drengin CM and reloaad it and continue. It will go to the new server then.

I was able to download the main game off the new server in about 20 minutes, so all seems good now!

Yep, warp speed ahead.

much better. i got the main game down last night but gave up on multimedia until this afternoon. the music isn't as much of a nice thing as having the animated aliens.
