Downloading GC

I wonder what will happen if the game is big hit.
I think it can out sell Master of Orion.

I can picture sometime in the future when a new update of GC comes out that millions of people may try to download it at once.

Are there millions of people waiting for MOO3? i am afraid not.

Now a serious question...i am playing on my works computer, can i download the beta without crashing all what's on my computer? is it safe? i am tempted, but fear problems...

Gal Civ will not crash any of your other programs. But if you're that nervous about it, you can copy the files to a cd once they've been downloaded and take it home, as long as you have a decent home computer.

I'm getting an error 13, invaild data (on weapons.mdl)when the game manager starts the install of the downloaded files. How can I have the system the weapons.mdl file.

I believe that the thread "Downloading Tips" has the solution to this, if you haven't already found it. Delete your file weapons.mdl and try running the DGM again.
