Pluto is Gone!

Gone, kaput, pulled!

Pluto is no longer a part of the Solar System!

Are they nuts?! That’s what I heard recently while listening to the news on the television. (I was too busy to sit and watch so I listened instead)

I grew up reciting the names of the planets in the Solar System, Earth, Jupiter, Saturn, Mars, Neptune, Uranus, Pluto…[I’m missing two I know], during my Primary School (Elementary in the US) years they had to be recited in order of discovery too, but not for this blog!

It’s being yanked because there are now five other moons out there that is larger than Pluto.

So it’s too pint sized? How un-PC is that?! Axed because another has taken its spot!

Bye, bye Pluto…at least Mickey Mouse still has your namesake as a pet!



[BTW, there is a new discovery, scientists thinks there are now three moons on Pluto. Does that mean it might be granted its status again?….enquiring minds want to know! For now, they’re investigating this.]

Pluto would still be considered part of the Solar Sytem, just not as a major planet but as a trans-neptunian Kuiper Belt object. Kind of like an asteroid, I guess. Personally, I still think it is a major planet. The debate has been going on for a while among astronomers.

I know I missed two of them, just couldn't come up with the names. Oh could I forget Venus - a.k.a. the love planet! {at least that's what Hollywood says!}

Replace the word "effing" with THE bad word for fornicating. So see the judge thought Mickey meant Minnie was crazy but Mickey meant something else.

Oh I did get that part...effing, the act, etc. what I didn't get was the joke! I'm sorry UDigit, not that you're not a funny person, I just didn't get that joke.....my loss! Oh btw..."THE bad word for fornicating"? the act itself in a healthy relationship isn't bad, so just use it, i.e., "THE word for fornicating"...without "bad"! I know, I know, I'm being picky because after all it is a word used in cussing someone out or swearing...but you know, sometimes we have to say what we mean!

Saying someone is fricking goofy is the same as saying they are crazy.  Mickey told the judge that Minnie was boinking Goofy, and the judge thought he was saying she was just crazy.

Yeah, Pluto is gone, but we DO have six Great Lakes now (my personal position is that the same spurious arguments used to make Lake Champlain a Great Lake could and should be used to make Wisconsin's Lake Winnebago a Great Lake...and anyone saying that the reason Champlain got it and Winnebago didn't is because Champlain has a monster has never been face to face with a full size sturgeon...but I digress).

It happened a few years ago, Dr. Guy. Personally, I think VT lobbied for it to get some extra federal coinage, even though they brag about how they're not on the federal dime.
