Wireless Internet Connection

Did you guys ever use it?

I am trying to make some research about wireless internet connection.
Recently I heard about this WiMAX technology....is that something that you guys knows about?

Im not too familiar with WiMax but I've been using WiFi recently but my understanding is that WiMax has a longer range signal than WiFi does.
The technology works similar to a cellphone which provides the service/signal from anywhere withing the range of a station.
I use WiFi with my PalmOne and it is great for quick browse to the net or even transfer files to and from a PC. However, just like a cellphone, you can loose signal if you wonder off too far the base station or if you are in an enclose space eg. a subway.

Yes, the signal can cover a range of 20 kilometers far from the base amtena. GO! GO!
