If you know so much about Stargate, can you tell me where the "Stargate Infinity" cartoon fits in? Is it set sometime in the future after the SGC defeats the Goa'uld?

I'd like to put a vote of interest in this as well as I too love SG1 but must also confess ignorance towards stargate infinity...never heard of it.

I love the show too, but sg1's a little lacking on ships to put into the game.

Wouldn't earth be a little outclassed against all the other factions? Considering they don't even have sustained warp travel yet, and I doubt the asgard are gonna give it. Although it'd be cool, I must admit.

I love Stargate, but I think it would be a very poor fit with GCiv.

What would be perfect, though, is a Neverwinter Nights conversion. You could essentially create a persistent Stargate world by setting up a NWN server, which would contain a "central hub" type of map that would be equivalent to Earth/Cheyanne Mountain. The portals, which are often used to link to separate neverwinter nights modules/maps, would of course be equivalent to a stargate linking to other planets. Anytime you create a new module, you'd be creating another planet players could dial up. And the whole D&D party model would be perfect vehicle for multiplayer SG-1 teams. Unfortunately, it would be ALOT of work. Though you could probably re-use a lot of the tilesets, creating non-fantasy player models and weapons would be painful.

earth has the X302 Fighter/Intocepter

also the X303 Cruiser which carries some X302's

Naquadria a powerful variant of Naquada allowed earth to do this.

don't know which season you guya are up to but by season 6 earth has ships capable of hyper-jumps. In season 7 which is just beginning their has been combat with them against the Goa'uld.

I would like a stargate 1st person shooter game. I don'yt know if a Galciv mod would peak my inteserest even though I like both concepts a lot.

I think the stargate mod could work with some stretching. Obviously we'll have to assume the other guys gave the Terrans a tech boost to allow colonizer ships. Its mostly a matter of renaming things such as planets, ships, races, etc, and making up new ship graphics. For the AI, i wuold think:

Drengins: Goauld (very evil)
Yor: Replicators (also quite evil, but not as bad as Goauld)
Arceans: Asguard (somewhat of a lose fit, the Asguard are quite good)
Torians: Nox (neutral)
Alterians: Tokra (closest to Terrans)
