From what I read, it would be a great game. Too bad the RC doesn't load. I get the lovely error of "Application failed to start because d3d9.dll was not found. Re-installing may fix this problem." I've reloaded three times, same error. Great game there Stardock. Beta testing anyone?

Actually thats the point it looks like you might be missing, it is in beta testing right now. Its a beta you are downloading and trying to play.

Had the same problem. That's a DirectX file. If you update your DirectX drivers at microsoft.com, the game will most likely run just fine - you shouldn't even have to reinstall the game itself.

I downloaded the 0.99[rc].015 level of the game, and I'm not having any technical dificulties (i.e. no crashes). But I do need some gameplay advice. Somewhere on the help I saw a hint that I should "bank" a candidate's unused stamina at the end of a turn. But I can't find any way to do that. Is that feature implemented yet?

Is there a way to save a game? I did hit a crash, but it wasn't captured by SmartException.

Finally managed to finish a game (on Cakewalk). I thought it was a lot of fun, but did get annoyed at times trying to pixel hunt to grab the operative I wanted. It wasn't until I finished the game that I remembered that there's a key (tab?) that will cycle around your operatives.

I never would have had a clue how the play the game if I hadn't found www.politcalmachine.com.

After I finished I discovered that the main intro screen had a "Load last autosave" button, so maybe the game was autosaving, but I think it still needs a way for the user to set save points like GC has. A least a ctl-Q quicksave function.

I hope that it will be possible to download (or mod) different sets of issues and maps, so that it would be possible to refight elections like Kennedy-Nixon.

I'm a total newbie to the American political system but PM sounds really interesting. Is there a "tutorial" of sorts for the non-American players with Drengin subscriptions?

As far as I can tell there's not a whole lot of information about PM available. There's hardly any help that comes with the game, you have to go to http://www.politicalmachine.com to get any useful help. I hope that the released version includes the information on that web site.

The tops of the exploded views of Vermont and New Hampshire are a little too high on the screen. I put a spin doctor into New Hampshire and he essentially disappeared from the screen, he was standing in the extreme north of the state, which itself was off the screen. I had to tab around all of my assets to find him.

Are there plans to support any international relations options other than "Global Peace", "International Tensions", and "Global War"? Seems like there should be other shades of gray there ;)
