How do I automatize keeping a planet happy with it's slider?

Ok, so there is the slider that I can move to the right to spend more on planet happiness to prevent defection. But I have to do this every turn!

How can I automatize this in some way so it doesn't come back all the time? I have just began playing and this is driving me nuts! I can't understand it because the game is otherwise streamlined and doesn't have too much micromanagment.

Thanks in advance.

You should very rarely have to use the slider at all. If you've built Entertainment Networks, Multimedia Centers, etc. on your planets and morale is still very low, you probably have your taxes too high. And you don't have to keep all your planets at 100%. I only ever use propaganda on planets in danger of defecting (meaning I've actually gotten the message saying that the planet was about to defect). I usually don't see the I-League in my games, but if they're around then planets with the little red frowney-face are in danger. So get rid of the I-League. If they're not around and the planet's in your sector then you can just ignore the frowney face untill you discover a new morale booster. Morale does not need to be micromanaged.

But if you can't stop the I-League you could just give them as a peace to a enemy or a ally and they would lose it and you could attack it and seem as a hero for your ally.
