Oui en effet ça marche mais il y a pas mal de bug dans les parties. Heureusment que sur les sauvegardes le jeu peut reprendre.
Bon j'en suis à ma troisième vrais partie et j'arrive pas encore à gagner mais je m'accroche !!!

Thanks a lot Carielf. But like Von Guilberth says, many bug crahs again but now the game is playable with saves.

Have you tried updating your sound and video drivers, and directX? Sometimes that can help to reduce crashes and other problems. 

There may be other compatibility issues due to translation, too.  You could try getting the full set of english data files, rename your current data folder French Data or something, and then unzip the english data files and see if you get less crashes that way.  If you do try this, let me know what happens.

Well, that was great... until it crashes again! I don't know why. I updated everything that should be updated, I used the files for the french version, and now, it does it again! Did anybody had it to?

It crashes someimes (10 in a a game). I save every turn automatically, load the save and crash few turns after. I can play like this. It's true that i play only 2 games yet.

Je me demande si ce n'est pas parcequ'il a beaucoup de choses à gérer en même temps (même si j'ai une excellent bécane), je suis pas sûre qu'il arrive à traiter toutes les infos.

If you want to zip up your files and send me the save games, I'll take a look at them.  If it's something caused by our code or the translation, it should crash for me, too.  I'll need both the file with the extension .sav and the folder with the same name as the .sav files.  So if you send me your SauvAuto.sav file, I'll also need the contents of the folder named SauvAuto.

Jehol, je sais que ce n'est pas le thême de ce thread ( sorry Carielf, to speaking only french too) mais je veux profiter que tu parles le francais: je n'arrive pas à faire prendre en compte mes scores sur le metaverse.J'ai beau terminé la partie en étant branché sur internet et enregistré, avoir un avis de test d'envoi positif, je n'apparais pas sur la liste. Peux-tu me dire comment tu t'y prends stp?

T'es sûr d'avoir mis le bon alias? Je ne sais pas si c'est "case sensitive", mais faut bien vérifier ça.
Tu as aussi fait une recherche sur le métaverse avec ton alias? :notsure:

my french version crashed all the time, apparently when mine or other ships enquired anomalies

I updated to 1.1 version, the game went english, not really a problem though, but it still crashed

then I downloaded the files on this post and now the game doesn't crash anymore - well, when I stop playing the computer crashes and I have to reboot

I noticed that if I save and load the game a few times my PC doesn't lock up

ah, forgot to say that this is a great game

I have registered to stardock central and used the update button ... the minor civilizations started to build a colonial ship every two turns , and every planet they colonized build another two colonials every two turns

I reinstalled everything, used only the french files linked above and the game works as before, stardock central says it's updated like it was with the last downloaded patch, so I suppose my version (two weeks old) was up to date ?

but it works, it crashes only when I stop playing, which is fine with me



the french version has been translated with the feet (french joke), some howlers :
"wormhole" translated "the hole of the worm" LOL (trou du ver instead of tunnel spatio temporel)
"trade wise" translated "commercialement sage" ("du point du vue du commerce")
the "croiseur" is defined "un vaisseau qu'effraye les ennemis dans les yeux" ("a ship which scares enemies in the eyes")

good game, I'm sticking to it
