Space between screen edge and docks

Is it possible to make the dock stand further off the edge of the screen? I would like to use four of them, but my taskbar, which I want to keep, gets in the way of at least one.

You can use a tabbed dock in conjunction with the taskbar.

I have a tabbed dock also, but I would like to get the animated dock further away from the egde. I am just wondering if where they dock is a value that can be changed in the configuration files.

It is kind of a cheezy workaround, but I inserted a few transparent png files and removed the shortcuts and labels and made the whole dock transparent. Basically it is just a systats dock that monitors my network and is in the top left portion of the desktop and open windows.

I am using transparent docks too, but I would like them to sit, even 1/4, further from the egde. Problem with even large docks is that the PNGs attach almost directly to the egde, something about it bothers me.
