Moving Desktop Items.

For Windows 2K

I've been fooling around with WindowBlinds for a few hours now, changed skins, desktop icons, ect. But one thing i cant find is how to move your desktop icons. I know in XP it's easily done w/o using Blinds. But i've searched all my settings and there doesnt seem to be one for Windows 2K. Anyone know how to do it?

Do you mean hide your desktop icons or rearrange your desktop icons?

In both XP and 2000, you can right click an empty spot on your desktop, and you will see an "arrange icons by >" option which you can hover over to give you some options for showing/hiding and arranging your desktop icons.

There is also the "properites" option in the same "right click" context menu, which opens another dialog box with a "desktop" tab on it. Going to "customize desktop..." button under that desktop tab also offers you a number of options for the "default" desktop icons.

Moving your desktop icons around on the desktop is just a matter of hovering over the icon of your choice and holding down one of the mouse buttons and dragging it to the desired spot.

You can turn off "snap to grid" option by using the first method in this response, which allows you to place an icon at any point on desktop.

Just some basics, not sure if this is what you are after.
