Newbie ?'s

I recently got the game, and I have a few questions. I've tried to search for the answers, but haven't had much luck. Any help you can provide would be great.

1- I notice that every civilization is listed as 1st overall in my current game...is this a known bug?
2- How do I know when my planet is overpopulated? Where can I see the population growth (I see a row that says population growth in the planet details, but it is blank)? What determines population growth?
3- When I have a negative balance in my treasury, the graphs list it as some huge number ~2200. Is this a known bug?
4- When I trade an empire for influence where is the influence gained? What sector?
5- How do I know when my planets in another empires sector is going to revolt?

I'm sure I'll have more questions, but those are the ones I have for now. Thanks for the help.

Some answers:
2 Overpopulated is the same as low morale. If morale is below 55 or so, it is overpopulated. Conversely, if morale is high, the population will grow quickly.
4 I think the influence you can buy is only usable in United Planets voting?
5 A little skull and crossbones on a planet indicates that it is thinking about switching sides. (Also, there is a button in the top right of the main map window that shows you the influence level for the sector - if you are more than a couple of hundred behind, you risk flipping.)

Thanks.

1 more question: I colonized a planet with 600 million people, it was class 13, and I noticed that the population decreased fairly rapidly until it got to 400 million, then it started to increase again. Is there a specific level of population that can happily live on different classes of planets? If so is it written somewhere?

I don't think there is a hard population number for a planet class because it will depend on factors such as: what improvements you build on the planet, if you are mining a moral resouce, what other moral boosters you may have gotten through racial picks and your political party choice.

Not really realated to your question, but in general, it doesn't pay to colonize a class 13 planet, unless you really need it for some stratigic purpose.

Sort of, but morale boosting buildings effectively allow a higher population to live happily.
I don't put many people on my colony ships - if I know I'm going to be colonising a PQ 13 or PQ 14 world, I usually put just 1 million on board.

Another population tip: Unless you have a morale of 1, don't worry about it much. Once you have a certain number of people on a planet, maybe 250 million depending on PQ, the production and tax bonuses don't go up very much beyond that.
