DesktopX Suggestion: Dashboard-like "show widgets"

In dashboard, you probably noticed that when you hit a certain key, the screen becomes darker and the widgets are shown. Now, the reason I'd want a feature like this is that I use IconX (demo) and hitting the *go to desktop* key is therefore useless (if only you could fix it). Therefore, having widgets on the desktop itself would double the problem, because the same thing happens. So just hitting, say, f8 instead of minimising all the windows would be a TON better.
