ThemeManager

Hi folks!
Can anybody tell me, why ThemeManager thinks I don't have WB installed although I have it installed. I even had let it download WB again and installed it, but it still say it is not installed.
Also, I never ever had the chance to get a WinAmp skin. Needless to say that WinAmp is installed.
This is a really annoying issue. Is there any fix for that?

Have you tried installing the latest version of Theme Manager?

Sure. The one I have is v2.11, that's the latest AFAIK. And no matter what I do, it still says I have no WB installed ... >

I can tell you that Winstyles v1.4 didn't have this problem. I always uninstalled Theme Manager and installed it. Theme Manager was just too buggy for me. Now, Winstyles has been removed as another option unfortunately, and you're forced to swallow the buggy one.

I also miss Winstyles, I think it was a better program.

But what sense does it make? I mean, what for should I use ThemeManager, if the damn thing don't load the WB skin? It's useless in my eyes.
I hope this will be fixed soon ...

Don't get angry with me, Stardock.

Insaint, I think its plain business economics. Theme Manager is the licensing program for client themes(I.E.-Zippo/Alienware). Although buggy, it is the program making the money. Winstyle, on the other hand, is free and not the licensing program and therefore not bringing in revenue. So, they removed Winstyles v1.4 from the site, and force you to only use Theme Manager. So, until they fix the bugs, you are stuck with a program that doesn't work right when there is a much better one already built. Lucky for me, I backed up Winstyles v1.4.

Thanks for your comment. In that case, if it's just such a 'commercial' issue, I think that's something that should not be tollerated in that way.
It's almost like Microsoft behaviour: Always buy a new OS, even if ot's buggy and the old ones will be not supported anymore.

Well, I guess I have to live with it till this issue is fixed or I find Winstyles 1.4 somewhere.

Just for the record, ThemeManager is WinStyles, it just has a new name. I haven't had any problem with it and it loads WindowBlinds skins just fine here.

What version of WindowBlinds are you using? As for Winamp, it may be that it can only apply skins for Winamp 2 at this point.

Its purpose is still to compile and apply themes, same as it was when it was called WinStyles. The only marketing angle to it is that it includes links to premium content.
