hey i just discovered this site about a day or two ago and im totally loving it. i would like to get more involved in it and start creating things like the log ons and icons, im fairly handy with photoshop but i am wondering what else everyone else uses to create them. The first thing i would like to do is creat logons, what programs do i need? is there a tutorial on this site somewhere? thanks a lot.

There's a tutorial for creating Logons in the help files of LogonStudio. If you have Photoshop, that and LogonStudio is all you need for logons. For icons again photoshop is what you'll want to use to create them, and save them as PNG files. PNG can be used with many of the programs, such as ObjectDock, DX, HoverDesk, etc.. If you want to go further and create actual icons, the thing to do is convert the PNG's to ICO with an icon editor, such Stardock's IconDeveloper, Axialis IconWorkshop, MicroAngelo, IconSushi, etc.

When creating icons,I think one of the best editors is AW Icons, both a free and a proversion.
