I was wondering how the game handles combat when multiple fleets are involved? If I have 2 large fleets in the same hex and an enemy fleet attacks me, do both my fleets participate in the battle? Or only 1 then followed by the other? If the latter can I specify which fleet attacks first? I noticed when I click on the hex with my two fleets, the information panel has arrow icons to "move up" or "move down" - if I use these arrows to select one of the two fleets does this fleet now become the designated attacker or defender?
