Title Petition - WinCustomize Subscribers

We the undersigned hereby respectfully petition the administration of WinCustomize to adopt a separate set of titles for WinCustomize Subscribers (level 4) in recognition to their financial contribution to this site.

Though they may not have the skills, talent or knowledge necessary to contribute to the skinning community or this site in other fashions, such things as brand new servers, which will benefit the community as a whole, would not have been possible without their support. The time is now to distinguish these residents from the mass of non-paying Wincustomize registered users (level 2) and residents who have only purchased Stardock products (level 3).

Upside.....public acknowledgement of a financial commitment/dedication.

Downside.....distinguishing visibly between those who can and those who perhaps cannot due to circumstance.

If it's a specific title only available to level 4 and NOT mandatory [in other words it can be hidden if desired], as with existing titles then I'd stick my name on it.

If it's a prominent 'badge' that cannot be hidden if wished then I'd be a 'No'....

I see nothing wrong with the Titles we have now, and you have been around this board plenty of time, and I'm sure you can count on 2 hands, how many people use the titles anyway

If there is enough interest.....WC could do a poll to let people vote on a title that WC chooses....

I personally dropped title to not be lumped in with the masses, hence the reason for the petition. Though I may still not use a title if it becomes available, but I would like to have the choice to be recognized that I support this site

And also offer up another possible alternative instead of a title.

Maybe just a small graphic to one side or the other of their "nick" like the WC pinwheel I don't really know if that graphic has a name, that's just what it reminds me of.

Power to the subscribers! Title doesnt mean very much but it would be nice to differenciate between who is part of the community and who is just looking for free stuff.

i'm up for it, with all of the amendments so far listed included. but don't get carried away with it and have levels for who purchased more programs than others. recognition is nice for the people who arn't freeloading but i wouldn't want to see it turn into a sign for people who should be given special help or otherwise treated differently from the rest of the community. i'm hoping everyone who continues to agree to this agrees to that, as well. we're all human. regardless of who can afford what.

It's a nice idea, but I have to agree with (DesignCaddy).
Lets not make this into the have and havenot.
I think we should just be happy knowing we helped.

I think it would be cool to have another title option for people who subscribe, even though I dont yet. It would be neat to have another option. When I get a subscription, I probably woulndt use the title, but it would still be cool to be able to have the acknowledgment if I wanted it.

Yeah, I ditto Z71, DC, Jafo, FB...I'm losing track here... It might be nice to have some little trinket/title option for site subscribers, as long as it's not an occasion for people to get too huffy and puffy about themselves because they subscribed.

This icon thinger: Where would we put it? I think it would seem out of place by the name. What it we put it in the bottom RIGHT of the message box, instead of in the bottom LEFT like the quote button etc is. That would put if off where it would be noticed, but not quite like where the SkinBrowser button is.

I like this idea better than a separate title. Maybe the Wincustomize Chameleon before or after the username.

I thought about that too. But I dont think it should be by the username. We dont put the SkinBrowser icons with the name, so I dont think we should put the substriber icons with it either.
