Hi bobj420.

I am not admin or a staff member but can confirm for me at least IconPackager  does work with no issues I've seen or come upon yet on Windows 11.

It is easily done without any other app. First find the icons you want to use, then right click each icon you want to replace, click properties, and look for the change icon, click it and browse for the icons you found earlier and apply them. Iconpackager does this in batches using a set of icons that usually match or are from a matching sets, so is much easier, if after you have applied a set of icons in Iconpackager, there is one or two you would prefer to change , follow the info above.

I use this method but have asked that in IconPackager there's an easier option to include other icons and desktop shortcuts to packages to save having to repeat the above process every time a package is changed.

Sorry!...  What does this mean?

"IP applies the icons then exit when you close it and do not run until you start it to change icons again."

Could you explain it in clearer English?

In Winn 11 - When I make changes, previous changes seem to be getting overwritten.  It is really a bummer.  It might be because I am not closing and reopening???  "Do not run until you start it"????  Start what?

IconPackager is not yet fully compatible with Windows 11, although it might work to some extent for some. [Link]

IconPackager changes a lot of icons in one swoop, just like you can do with one icon at a time yourself for i.e. shortcut. The app itself do not run in the background after it has applied all the icons after you exit, simply because there is nothing to do.

I haven't seen an update to this topic for 2023, is IconPackager works on Windows 11 newest updates?.

IconPackager hasn't received further attention at this point yet.

I don't use it, myself, so I can't tell you regarding the latest W11 updates and IP.

To be honest, it doesn't work very well. Just purchased new computer with fresh install of Win 11. Icon packager randomly changes some icons I did not ask to change and has changed all of the default folders in explorer to a white generic icon. Getting ready to bstall it.
