What I have done is download Wine and Wine tricks. then use wine trick to download what ever I thought would help graphics.

I also downloaded Steam and set it up.

After that I went into the steam play tab and checked all and changed to plasma 3.7

You should be able to install GCIII now

Last so far I changed the screen size in the game menu options to 1440x960. It was 1920 but will try lower res.

I have gotten as far as a quick start loading and briefly showing the intro text before it crashed.

For reference I use Popos as my OS and KDE as my desktop.

Popos is the only distro the recognezed my BIOS RAID.

Played with it and it still crashes on setting up players when building the map.

Thanks Forester I already solved the problem. I load steam. I think I used play on Linux. That was no problem. I had to set proton to 4.2 in properties, and settings. Afterwards I reset it back. Make sure you load Vulcan. Proton needs Vulcan.
change proton to work on all windows programs either in properties, or settings.

did you disable the star dock launcher. It doesn’t work in Linux.
