Wincustomize.com needs moderation. Seriously.

Why, oh why did this awesome site drop the moderation filter for uploads? The "finest selection of wallpapers on the net" has become the "10% finest, 90% garbagest selection on the net". I used to come here for my walls because I knew I would find only the best of the best. Now it's just rehashed,cliched, junk. Bring back the moderation. For the sake of the site.

give me a break... this is not productive, it's obviously not true and it's unnecessarily inflamatory (and insulting to everyone posting their work here).

.  We went from accepting the top 5% to the top 25%.  You have no idea just how many wallpapers we reject. You're seeing only the handful that we still accept.

You can alway sset your ratings filter to say 5 and above and then you won't see the "ugly" ones as much.

The other side of the Moderation argument: A few months ago (back when moderation was in full force) I posted a wall, and I was pleasantly surprised to see it make it onto the site, because I'm really not very good with graphics design and such. (Of course, now the wall is rated a 5... ). If I was considering making a wall now, I'm not sure that I would: It just wouldn't be as "neat" as know that my wall was good enough to make it through moderation.

Hmm. *ponders* I'm pretty sure it will be a overstock of low-brow sites

Moderation is always a double edged sword It does improve the quality of skins or wallpaper, but with price of complants

If wallpaper section is to be taken down, I have a possible idea: Keep wallpaper but only in connection to some kinds of skins, EX: if upload a windowblinds skin, there is extra upload file for a "incuded" wallpaper, that can be downloaded on its own, but download link is part of skin discribation(sp).

Possible wallpaper to be incuded sections:

Desktopx
Windowblinds
Litestep
Hmm possily winstyles.
