Why a I getting this now on My W10 setup.

I put Steam in offline and then restarted the computer.

It still asks to install dx.

Could my UAC be causing probs. I have it at the default setting.

Still getting what exactly? I am not sure if I follow what you are talking about. A new installation will want to get certain redist files.

Cant get pics

1st the UAC askes if it is ok to run the program. No prob there if I lower the UAC to the min.

2nd I get a popup for first time run and DX is installed. This happens each time.

The Game plays fine and the time to rinstall the DX is neglegable

I still don't know what you mean by "can't get pics" do you mean textures aren't loading or steam workshop assets aren't loading?

Either way it sounds like something like a permissions issue is happening where the files aren't being properly installed and keep initializing.

Permissions sound right.

I have made the UAC to lowest then restarted the computer and ran steam then GC3. After rebooting again I still get the first time install msg and DX.

Could the Windows 10 DX be blocking the install.

It has Defender and Windows firewall on. Would turning them off for the install solve this prob.
