Game not Running - New Laptop

Downloaded GC3 not running on new Dell laptop

I have a new laptop (Dell Latitude 5490) and have been attempting to run GC3. The game has been running on my previous laptop (Lenovo Yoga 2 Pro) without any real issues (limited by memory 8 GB). The new laptop is an 8th Gen i7 with 16 GB of memory. the game downloads and installs without error. When attempting to run the game the game initial dialog screen is displayed, but when selecting Play, the dialog screen disappears and nothing happens. There is no error message. Any ideas?

Check if your antivirus didn't blacklist GC3, it wouldn't hurt to whitelist it just in case.

If it's still not working try verifying integrity of game files.

I have attempted to run GC3 with my Antivirus and Firewall (Norton) disabled. Still not working. In attempting to verify the integrity of the game files, Steam is showing GC3 "running".

Go to taskmanager force close the GC3 process and try again.

Attempted to do that, but the GC3 process is not showing to be running. It seems that in attempting to run GC3 the process fails but is seen by Steam as still running. I am wondering if the video configuration of the laptop might be at issue. The new laptop is showing:

Display Adapters
Intel(R) UHD Graphics 620
NVIDIA GeForce MX130

Try restarting, as for graphics you could go to Nvidia Control Panel, Manage 3D settings and force it to use the graphics card when running GC3.

If ur antivirus didn't blacklist the game,if ur GC3 process is allright then once check the requirements of the game.Match those requiremnts with specifications of your laptop. There is a high possibilty that your laptop may be missing some key features that your game requires. If still u don't get any solution post details about laptop. Will love ot help u if i can.mybkexperience

Can you please post a link to your debug.err file? It will be in My Games\GC3Crusade if you have Crusade installed and in My Games\GalCiv3 if you don't.

Windows 10 security and Defender may be your problem.
