Disable 'Colony Build Queue Empty'?

please someone tell me theres a way to disable the Colony Build Queue Empty.  setting a governor for the colony does not work, as I think it used to.  late game it becomes a major annoyance to have to keep selecting 'aid xxx' ever 2 turns on many planets, as there is no way either to auto-start the same project.

No way to disable it. We need a way badly, though.

Not a perfect solution, but have you tried filling your queue up with multiple 'aid xxx'?

If there was an option I wouldn't care, but if that was the only way then I would ask no, but I'll admit I usually don't play beyond 200 turns, before I reset the game.

Or give us an "infinite repeat" command like ship construction has. Applies to the research/econ production as well as citizen recruitment.

For now I just spam a couple dozen aid missions and revisit the planet when they're done.

I would like a "Do task for upto 60 turns".  I often 'add xxx' enough times to total around 60 turns.  I feel that is a perfect balance between "leave me alone and let me play the game" and "periodically ping me to let me change what you are doing".
