bugs with latest dlc

so, even though i asked steam for a refund on the dlc since such a bug on its release is simply unacceptable, i did manage to make 2 screenshots.

just to add some random information, i did verify the game files, 3x, and 3x produced the same result. it said that 5 files failed to validate, it reinstalled those files but this bug continued to exist.

I was looking for help with this issue too. If it helps clarify, from looking into the data files, it seems like it is showing the label for the item instead of the actual string that gives the names or descriptions.

A few users are affected by this bug, most aren't. And we don't know what is causing it.

Here is what I suggested someone else try.

A few more ideas.

Go to Galactic Civilizations III\DLC\EXP3_Intrigue\English and delete the Text folder, then verify integrity of files.

If that doesn't work the last resort would be to delete all GC3 files as instructed here and reinstall. Make sure to backup any civs and ship designs before doing this.

Please inform me if this solves your issue.

One more thing, do either of you use an anti-virus program? Sometimes they block files from installing.

I use standard windows defender. If thats enough to make ur game installation incomplete :p

I just went straight for the reinstall because I was going to be out for a while anyway. Turned off my antivirus. It seems to have worked for me. I appreciate the help. And OP, hope it works out for you. Sorry for latching on to your post.

i also figured out my problem, i think. i noticed 2 galciv3 folders on 2 seperate harddiscs. as it happens, i have a steamlibrary on my HDD and on my SSD. however, i only saw how the intrigue dlc was installed in 1 library, while the full game installed in the other library. thats hte problem. steam misplaced the dlc files.
