So because I don't use this account to often I didn't know where to put this post. Please kindly tell me where better place would be.
I am done with my first Intrigue game and I have some remarks for 3.0 in general and expansion itself. I've played on devs favourite Ludicrus map size (
) with 14 civs on quad core and 16gb of ram and performance was pretty decent (even better that 2.8) I had few crashes but it turns out game no longer likes when I have FF with youtube running in the background.
Balance is generally pretty good, tourism is little OP but it fits nice with nerfed resources and new market (or I was just in extremely poor area).
Food system works nice on the balance side but its like medieval times on realism side.
I like governments, some balancing will probably be introduced but its OK. One thing I'd like to see is sorting them out in different way benevolent/malevolent/neutral. Actually I would like to see no ideology requirement on them at all. Comonwelths are nice Ideas but they work different that what I expected. Right now They act like separate major civ. I hoped they will be independent part of crating civ. Range limit of adding planet to them is completely broken. I would also like to see option to give them planets after creation not only by diplomacy. It would also be nice to change their colour.... They need more work.
Crysis system is nice, but so far I saw them with only 2 steps. Why not something more complicated like 4-5 steps?
I like to see more extreme worlds but tech tree for their colonization should go away. Instead option to colonize specific types should be unlock somewhere along tech tree like the governments (PLEEEEEESSSEEEEE!!!!)
Some other things that been annoying me:
Alliances needs total rework (I smell Alliance DLC....)
Fleet menagment is still annoying, Its been a while since I played GC2 but I have memories that it was much easier back then.
Ability to auto repeat Aid research/finance ect. Its really annoying to do this manually at very late game when most planets are fully developed. This takes a lot of time and is one of reasons I abandoned few games. Honestly I don't know how long I can take it any more.....
The same goes for shipyard missions like treashure hunt and I don't need to see pop up window with result....... put them on the side or on someone else monitor.
I noticed two bugs worth mentioning here. 1 on commonwealth creation It was like 50/50 chance of game crashing. 2. I could not appoint crisis manager after successfully crisis.
