Game crashed to desktop opt in 2.8

Dear Devs,

afert 8 hours try and error (because the game is chrashing) i think the new 2.8 opt in is the reason.

4 times complete new installation and now i saw without opt in 2.8 the game works fine.

With opt in 2.8 it crashing to desktop after 1 second after game start.

(Windows 10 64 Bit, Geforce GTX 770 3GB, 16 GB Ram), Crusade opt in 2.8 with all other DLCs.

Last Week all runs very well also with 2.8.

Friday night there was an Win10 cumulative update and an Geforce ready driver update, so i thought that was the reason.

So i really dont know what i can do to play the game.

 

Please help me :)

Could you please post the debug.err file so the devs can look at what might be causing the crash?

The file is located in Documents\My Games\Galciv3 for the base game or Documents\My Games\GC3Crusade for Crusade.

There have been some updates, could you check if you can now play the game in German without crashing?

Hi,

I am also having this issue, I start the game, but as soon as the map loads the game crashes. I tried reinstalling, and verified file integrity multiple times via STEAM. Changing language options does not fix the problem.

Game was working fine, this problem started right after an update yesterday.

My System:

MB: MSI Z270 GAMING M6
GPU: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1080 Ti
MEM: DDR4-2400 SDRAM UDIMM
OS: Windows 10 64bit

I have Crusade new patch to 2.8 with all DLCs.

Please help.

It is prob over kill but what i would do is delete the Designs folder in both mygame and in the game itself. Do a validate in steam so Designs are redone. For the designs in mygames just remake it as time goes on.

That looks like it was caused by a problem with the translation. Which should have been fixed.

I suggest purging all GC3 files and reinstalling.

You could still retrieve them if you didn't delete them from the Recycle Bin or use a software to recuperate deleted files.
