Takes forever for ships to move

In the later stages of the games when my ships can move 100+ moves it takes sometimes several minutes for the ships to move, and the line they use to plot their route seems to flop around all over the map. Is this how its supposed to work? I have a powerful gaming pc and just can't see why it takes so long to move a ship.

I have the same problem sometimes too. I find it works faster if I am zoomed nearly all the way in prior to confirming long range movement. Another problem I also experience is if I happen to accidentally mouse over or zoom too close to a blackhole, freezes everything for a couple of minutes.

All in all, once you find the work around it's not much of a problem for me, I love the game. Just wish I could turn black hole animation off.

You’re not really supposed to have ships with that many moves. In version 2.8 changes are in to keep the max moves a little more reasonable.

I used to have the exact same problem with blackholes when clicking on a ship on the perimeter of a black hole, it would just hang. But now oddly that issue is not happening anymore.

I'm not supposed to have ships with that many moves? Sorry but how do you tell how many moves I'm supposed to have? I'm loading the ships with tons of engine mass at the expense of other components. I play on Ludicrious sized galaxies and I don't see why it takes 2 dimensional path-finding so long to compute. I'd rather see an option for no animations, just click and the ship shows up at destination.

2 actually had an option to shut off showing automated moves off.
