Strategy Guide?

I did not play GalCiv III for a HUGE time and just bought the Crusade expansion to start again. Most strategy guides for the game are probably obsolete by now, but is there any specifically for the crusade expansion? And I do not mean some basic guide for new players but a real strategy guide focusing on the first turns, what abilities are worth it and which not etc. So far I did not encounter sth like this...

Would really appreciate suggestions! Thanks

This game has so many knobs and it changes so much that a strategy guide just doesn't work for this.   It would be like publishing a strategy guide for my mod.   It also just doesn't take too much expertise to win.

I would like to see a stradegy guide writter for this game. Probably ocasionally need to update it. This game usually changes minerly with each patch. Probably a once a year rewrite would suffice. Please write one.

What would you guys like for a strategy guide? I started trying to write something up, but it seems a bit short. Would a short guide be good enough?

To problem with a strategy guide for this game, is that the best strategy depends a lot on your race.

ie

A Scavenging race like the Snathi should build a privateer ASAP.   A scavenging privateer can "acquire"  colony ships, transports, constructors and small warships with no penalty.

The synthetic races should build population,  when ever possible.  The 100 population cap with no morale penalties is very powerful.  Since 1 pop point cost 3 Durantium,  find it and mine it ASAP.

Sorry gang. My guide isn't happening. The more I analyze this game, the more I dislike it. I keep finding things I think is wrong with this game. Bugs, bad balance, etc. Hard to write a guide under those conditions.

Another factor making a strategy guide harder to write is that game settings can dramatically change the nature of the game. You have massively different experiences if you play on larger maps with less resources and planets compared to a small map with abundant bits to exploit.
