Me too. But it needs work. It needs to be funnier or more serious... its really having a hard time finding its balance in my opinion. If its going to be more humorous... than it needs to be more a parody... not Family Guy/etc. as people have mentioned.
Basically... if it could be more "Red Shirts" or "Galaxy Quest" I think it could be marvelous comedy... but it is probably too late to go that route, and it seems clear to me that Seth wants to bring back "good ol next-gen Star Trek" complete with its moral messaging... which I full endorse.
So in the end, I think they need to make the show's writing a bit more serious... that doesn't mean "unfunny" but it means a subtler sense of humor. I've been re-watching TNG and there is literally dozens of very quiet moments of humor, that work, because they've developed the characters. Hopefully a second season will give the characters enough interaction and life that they can then focus on their relationships bringing meaning and humor, instead of JUST random dick/fart/egg jokes.
