So, my second ideology event I get is the one where you get the more powerful Elemental building, +35bc/turn if you build it. And I haven't built my central bank yet. I find the right planet with a +3 wealth tile and finish the elemental. Since I'm going to get this cash influx, I go out and buy the Mercenary transport which lets you invade worlds pre-War age. I hurry up and invade a nearby Minor, before they orbit any ships. Haven't finished the central bank yet. But guess who did: the minor race.
don't you get it back if you destroy it? I know you do if you take it from a major civ, maybe it is different for minors.
I really hope Minors become more prominent in the game again.
Yeah I guess, but it sucks. Have to start over building it, and lose the 8bc/ turn from the one on the minor.
Just thought it was hilarious that I got burned by a minor.
This is the first time I've heard about Minor races causing any issues, since they were nerfed. It is pretty funny.
Lesson learned: build your Computer Core and Central Bank before conquering your first minor or first AI capital. Duh I knew that already....
Some of my funnier happenings in my play:
- Getting the pirates Mega event when I'm Snathi.
- Getting the Pre-War Transport mercenary on a Tiny map, and winning the game on godlike 20 minutes in.
I avoid the pre-war transport, as it is very OP.
but yeah, pirates as Snathi is unavoidable, if it comes, so that is a fun one
