@TheFunMachine Hmm, the 3 games I have started the AI are doing fine building thier planets, but. 1. I dont have any synthetic races. 2. I nerfed the Aid projects by 3/4 in both cost and reward.
Actually lookign at it is more like 7/8
TheFunMachine-Today at 3:07 PM
Could be a synthetic thing. When spying in God mode, the others were building mostly* fine. There are still issues where the AI starts 'assist research' when they could be building productive buildings
Horem-Today at 3:07 PM
^^ thats why the nerf
TheFunMachine-Today at 3:08 PM
@Horem Could you do me a solid an try a quick soak with some syths?
Horem-Today at 3:08 PM
I figured if i cant stop them i can atleast mitigate some of the damage it does.
um
I'll have to make soem but sure
TheFunMachine-Today at 3:09 PM
Yor didn't come with your copy

TheFunMachine-Today at 3:10 PM
No stressm though. I'm just really curious if you can repeat this behaviour
... Or if I'm just going nuts
Horem-Today at 3:15 PM
soaking
TheFunMachine-Today at 3:18 PM
Cool beans
Horem-Today at 3:19 PM
50 turns in initalt observation, sythetics are not building planets
TheFunMachine-Today at 3:21 PM
Boom! @Horem Thank you
Horem-Today at 3:22 PM
80 turns, same issue, rest of AI doing fine at it, although they are a bit slow on thier homeworlds compared to other planets.
TheFunMachine-Today at 3:23 PM
@Horem , yeah, that is something else I noticed.
Horem-Today at 3:23 PM
bare in mind though, since my aid projects only take 1-4 turns, thats speeding them along.
if it was at default, they would be um behind still.
TheFunMachine-Today at 3:23 PM
I highly suspect the research prject. When in God, I caught the AI que clogged with one that would take of 25 turns
Horem-Today at 3:23 PM
I see it que them and take 40 odd turns, and it qued 3.
hense my nerf from 200 production to 17.
TheFunMachine-Today at 3:24 PM
Cringe
Worth reporting.
Horem-Today at 3:24 PM
they are spreadign liek locusts though, the synths, compared to the others.
TheFunMachine-Today at 3:25 PM
This bugs my OCD. The AI govs otherwise do a decent job building planets
@Horem Could it also be the AI building pops?
Horem-Today at 3:25 PM
yup, 100 turns and synth planets have not built up past initial 3 improvements.
pop and aid research, all they doing.
TheFunMachine-Today at 3:26 PM
Hmmm.
My hooman winsdom has me thinking that it is folly to neglect planet imprvements
They can't be getting more benefit soley from building pops could they?
Horem-Today at 3:27 PM
with the square root factor, i doubt it.(edited)
TheFunMachine-Today at 3:27 PM
That what I would think
Horem-Today at 3:28 PM
they even neglect trade resources.
TheFunMachine-Today at 3:28 PM
I knoooooow
lazy buggers
TheFunMachine-Today at 3:29 PM
Least they got the precursor wonder up, lol
Horem-Today at 3:31 PM
the other AI's, carbon/aquatics, still nto doing great with it tbh
TheFunMachine-Today at 3:31 PM
Because assist research?
Horem-Today at 3:32 PM
much better than synths, but still about 75% worse than a human would have done. Both Aid projects.
soem do research other enconomy, soem mixed ect.
TheFunMachine-Today at 3:32 PM
Yeah, aiid projects are gumming up the AI build ques
Horem-Today at 3:33 PM
not so much gumming, more liek the AI favors them over anything else.
I even tried adding a Weight of 0 to them and a Weight of 50 for everything else. seems the weights are ignored.
This does explain why the AI seems easier with crusade though tbh. I tried a vanilla game yesterday and atleast the AI built its planets up.
Ai planet
that how they should all be lol
TheFunMachine-Today at 3:36 PM
yup
Horem-Today at 3:36 PM
thats actually a real smart layout.
TheFunMachine-Today at 3:37 PM
That's what is annoying. The AI actually pretty good at it now, when it is not being held back by the aid-weight
