Global Controls...

So is there a way to turn off auto upgrades globally?

I've been going through and doing it for each planet individually....  and I can't say I have found a way to do it globally  (I've also not really looked)

No. But this is a puzzle the dev team needs to brainstorm a solution for.

@Stardock: the problem is that many mid tier planetary upgrades require resources and auto upgrading them results in the inability to store those resources for other needs.

being able to temporarily suspend auto upgrades would give the player time to stockpile resources for other uses.

This feature has been requested since I began playing in late Beta, again and again.  And again and again.  And, here, again.

@ Stardock  save us a few 10's of thousands of clicks already. (clicks that have to go to a window within a window to get clicked, Argh!)

While, I think the Crusade UI is much better overall, I absolutely agree, we do need some controls like this.

I suggested this right after they were doing galactic civilizations 3 pre alpha.

I dislike repeated posts on an old subject.  On this subject I make a vigorous exception.  I have already adjusted that particular setting a few hundred times now, possibly a few thousand.  I play larger maps.  That is way too many.

On a similair vien the auto continuation of the aid research 'building' (or other 'buildings like it' is driving me bonkers. The worst is with station garrison. You tell a planet to do that only to realize a bit later that the planet now hass all 22 of your legions garrisoning it instead of the 3 or whatever that was your intent.

been wanting global auto-upgrades from the start.

I don't mind the Research/Economy projects repeating, but yeah, take Garrisons off that ... just like the auto-upgrades, it uses/wastes resources where they are not wanted.

Maybe it would be better to make a local global option.

Do they auto-continue now? I didn't realize that yet. That was much requested by quite a lot of people (not me), but at least to me it was clear that once it's implemented the other fraction (of anti auto-continuation advovcates) would complain ...

I personally belong to  the people that like timed projects so that you get notified fro time to time to look after your planets. That's e. g. important if you researched some terraforming techs and now don't want to go through every planet manually to check whether you have to build that.

The best way would be to have a per planet setting for auto-continuation of projects yes/no.

I like the idea of project-auto-continuation being a check-box per planet, though this should have a global button next to it as well (so people who don't like the default can change it).
