[Bug] Tooltip Gives Incomplete Information

When a ship levels up the information from the tooltip is not correct. I use a mod that allows normal ships to gain some stats depending on what component they may have equiped to thier ship/ships. This information is just displayed as the "Ship Name - 2%". It does the same if you gain any stats from anomolies (Another mod that adds anomolies that may give a small boost to attack or defence). See screenshot.

Seems like your asking about a bug regarding a mod?

Might want to post your question in the modding section?

No dude, its a Tooltip Bug, Tooltips and UI are not moddable. They just didnt account for the mentioned issues when they designed the tooltips.

Sorry, not sure i understand if people not using any mod will encounter this problem you are having?

Sorry, didn't SD introduce shipleveling in 1.8? Only not to update tooltips? I know I didn't come up with this bright idea of shipleveling, or code it for that matter, just cause I take advantage of this new system means that my mod is bugged? Not that the tooltip is giving the wrong info, nope I did it cause I took advantage of a feature added by the devs. Right.....

I don't know? So far i only noticed HP leveling, nothing else.

There was plenty of ship leveling going on in Galciv2.... if my memory serves correct it was only HP as well, however anomalies would increase other attributes. I have not seen anomalies increase anything other than experience and sensors in Galciv3

So i have not seen anything in my vanilla game that would make me notice this 'bug' you are talking about.

Only if i had the mod would i notice it, right? or am i wrong?

This actually happens in the unmodded game as well (mercenaries),

you get one line for every level, would be better to ad those in one line and put the number of the level behind it

somthing like this: Constitution     +10%(5)

I know you are trying to say its the mod that causes this issue and it has nothing to do with the base game, it is not. If you know nothing about coding/moding you really should just not comment.

Thanx for the clarification, I was not sure if the Merc's were effected. I never use them so did not know for sure.

No, what he is trying to say is, that people who play unmodded will not run into it (except mercs as mortili described).

Would you rather fix a bug everyone runs into first, or fix a bug only mod users run into?

Whose fault the bug is or who has to fix it, is irrelevant to that argument. (I suppose the intention us to help SD keeping track of things on the forum)

Its not only mercs actually,

the weapons from the latest dlc are also affected

only thing what doesnt happen in the unmodded game is the anomaly thing,

because there are only bonis to hp, shiprange and moves, for which we dont even have tooltips -.-"

No, i was interested to understand if it is something that can affect my game.

As for saying i should not comment due to not knowing about modding.... WTF? well that's just stupid, since you did not put your post in the modding section and are busy arguing its not about modding!!!!

Oh, dear... I have to drop this line now :D

The wise man speaks because he has something to say.
The fool speaks because he has to say something.

No offence, but I thought it just too fitting to not play the fool, too.

No problem..... your first post is very interesting actually, but i did not want to get too deep into it if it is not something that will ever affect my vanilla game, so that is what i wanted to understand?

Others have pointed out that it may? So then this is a very interesting topic, thanks :)
