Missionary Center

where to find info

How do I build a Missionary Center? The only information I can find about this building is this:

http://galciv3.gamepedia.com/Missionary_Center

which does not mention any requirements other then picking Benevolent (I think, and I did that). However this building is not listen in my building list. So...what other requirements are there? Whcih brings me to my next question: where is the galatic empire equivalent of the civilopedia?? How do I get information about stuff in this game??

As you may guess I am quite new to this game, so any information helps.

Missionary center is a building granted by choosing the first Benevolent improvement in the Culture path.  You should just see it in the list of available buildings when looking at a planet.  Note that buildings are not listed in alphabetical order, so scroll down if necessary.

There is a wiki, you can find it here:  http://galciv3.gamepedia.com/Official_Galactic_Civilizations_III_Wiki

Keep asking Q's.  I've been playing this game for years, happy to help.

It is a pretty critical thing actually.... because if you miss selecting it, your pragmatic ideology progress will stall very badly.

So it is always going to be the second pragmatic choice i make, second after the one that gives the three free constructors.

Oh yea, and missionary center is usually my first choice in the good ideology for the same reason.... yea free colony ships and planets always try to tempt me, but i know what i have to have, and that is the missionary center.
