Questions about destroying a trade resource

Questions about destroying a trade resource on a planet:

1) Will the game let me destroy a trade resource that I am currently giving another race in a trade deal?  If so, will it consider it breaking a trade agreement?

2) If I destroy a trade resource, am I correct that I don't get the benefit anymore and that it's not available for trade anymore?

1) I don't know; I have never tried that.

2) Yes, it is gone for all purposes.

1) yes, no. You'll just be at -1 until the deal expires. I do not believe this causes an empire debuff.

2) yes

Yea i often destroy them if i have multiple..... but never the ones with useful adjacency bonuses, the one that has utterly useless adjacency are the military adjacency.... so useless it makes my eye twitch whenever i see one! lol

Helios Ore and Prometheus Stone are the 2 resources with military adjacency bonuses that I always hate to destroy (but end up doing anyways) for more space/room.

Trade resource buffs stack. Most of them are better than anything you can replace them with.

That is not what the wording in the description implies???? It clearly says "one per race", and who would believe a Stardock description of something would be unclear? Never happens! ... also i am never sarcastic either.

1. I do it when I'm specializing a planet. No problems there.

"One Per Race" shows up due to them been classed as wonders in the game(Miss information tbh). The do however stack very nicely.

Seriously??.... all this time i have been making sure i have at least one of everything and trading the excess away because i thought its not doing anything for me - all because of what that description said.

Sadly, yes.

The evidence is in things like Autocarpus Viriles which affect growth on all colonies.  Hover over the growth display on the planet screen and you will see the bonus from Autocarpus Viriles and you will see it change with multiple copies.  The same is true for Snuggler Colonies, Monsatium Deposits, and probably others I can't think of at the moment.

By the end of the game, I will own all of the Autocarpus Viriles in the Galaxy, either by purchase or conquest, but that is only one of my obsessions.

My obsession is to reach double constructors on a medium hull and one constructor on a tiny hull so i can make use of all those useless left over scouts! lol

A constructor on a tiny hull used to be easy, but things changed! lol

Oh man I had no idea they stack. . . that note is super misleading!  Now I will think twice before destroying them!

yeah, I used to destroy them but noticed they seemed to stack - nice for confirmation.

"One per race"

One, the number one;

Definition: a single thing; not two or more

When is 'one' not 'one' ? when it is as many as you can get, apparently!

Can i sell my stardock games and i only have 'one' copy to sell as many times as i like?? Apparently 'one' means is as many buyers as i can get, so it should be ok rite???? :)

No, its the one in, you can build only one per player.

(thought no one can build it^^)

I think we can all agree that the description makes no damn sense as-is.

Tbh I have always wondered why they are using Trade Resources as wonders since they are unbuildable.

I have been here since the Alpha, attended all the dev streams, etc, and listened carefully for the connection between Trade Resources and Wonders that has been mentioned, but never actually heard an explanation what that connection is.  I got the impression it was some pre-coding concept that never got carried into actual implementation, possibly when it was decided to allow multiple copies of Trade Resources, although that is reading a lot between the lines of what was said.

Possibly "one per race" could mean that if you have five races in the game, (but probably have to include minors too) it will spawn five of each trade resource on the map?

I highly doubt that is true, but if it was, then technically the description is 100% correct even though it is very deceptive.

It isn't true.

Military adjacency is actually really useful if you get it on one of your major military production worlds. Readiness Center +2, the trade resource +2, maybe another military building, and you're sitting at +5 for one of those unique military buildings (Hyperion Logistics, etc). Requires some planning ahead with terraforming, but it can pay off big. That said, its obviously situational.

Well my guess is somewhere someone either forgot, or figured that to many wonder names (Galactic achievements, Trade goods, Superprojects) is to much for us to remember, and thought one thing would be better. When in actuality there is still just as much to remember. There is just no way to differentiate by name. We basically have super projects, and trade goods modified as player achievements. We just can't identify that by label. moot really. It's just a higher learning curve.
